*Research Assistantships are available for Masters Degree Programmes in
the Department of Aeronautical Engineering of the Faculty of Mechanical
Engineering in the UniversitiTeknologi Malaysia for the academic year
2009-’10. Assistantship per month is around 1500RM. On campus dormitory
accommodation on nominal charges may be provided for students who are
single. Tuition fees of about 700RM/month for the first six months and
about 530RM/month for the subsequent months are to be borne by the student.

*Fresh Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace Engineering/Aeronautical
Engineering graduates with good academic standing (minimum CGPA of
3.00/4). Students who are to graduate byMay/June 2009 can also apply.
Interest and strong knowledge in gas dynamics and combustion are the
basic requirements. The applicant should be conversant
with computer programming. Relevant research experience will be an added
qualification. Strong knowledge in English is required (minimum score:
TOEFL: 550; or IELTS: 6).

Scholarships : The Fulbright Visiting Specialists Program 2009
The Fulbright Visiting Specialists Program
The Fulbright Visiting Specialists Program provides grants for Indonesian scholars and practitioners to conduct intensive three to six week programs of teaching, lecturing and public outreach on topics in Islamic civilization and developments in the Muslim world. Ideal applicants are scholars or practitioners with outstanding records of academic, professional, community service, the ability to address topics in Islamic civilization in addition to teaching in their own disciplines and about Indonesia, the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically in English and the desire to serve as a cultural ambassador.
The participants may teach short courses or seminars in their field of expertise as it relates to Islam or the Muslim world, team-teach with American faculty, student or teacher workshops, advise faculty and students, develop curricula, participate in informal discussions with students, and outreach activities, including programs for community groups, and interviews with the media. The program does not support research and provides no time for the participants to pursue personal projects. Participants may be in fields of Islamic and area studies, arts, communication and journalism.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent experience or a terminal degree in their field, demonstrate a strong record of academic, professional, and community service, expertise on Islam as a creed and culture, maturity, dependability, flexibility, integrity and professionalism. Applicants must be residing in Indonesia at the time of application.
